Yoga Stretches

Here's our current class & service offerings:

  • 26/2 Yoga - Based on the classic sequence from the Bishnu Ghosh tradition, this class will take you through 26 yoga poses and two breathing exercises to strengthen and tone your body, sharpen your focus, and leave you feeling rejuvenated. While the original sequence repeats each pose twice, this shortened version will work through some of the poses once and other poses twice. Room is heated.

  • Yin Yoga - Consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. Use of props -blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets.

  • Ashtanga Yoga - Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of six series or levels, with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on energy and breath.

  • Slow Flow Yoga -  A yoga class with focus on slower transitions and movements combined with time spent in stationary poses. Helps to build strength, increase range of motion, reduce stress and connect with your breath.

  • VinYin Yoga – a combination of Vinyasa yoga (dynamic movements) and Yin yoga (holding stretches for an extended period of time to get deep into the ligaments, tendons, joint capsules and fascia).  A nice mix of movement with stretching.

  • Sometimes referred to as assisted yoga, Thai Bodywork is focused on improving the flow of energy throughout your body. You lie fully clothed on a mat on futon on the ground while a practitioner uses stretching, pulling, and rocking techniques to relieve tension, promote relaxation, and improve flexibility and circulation.
